Some parents at Washington High School are not happy about the transfer of the school’s principal to another school.

The South Bend Community School Corporation has announced some pending leadership changes at their schools, including the transfer of Washington High School Principal Thomas Sims to the Dickinson Fine Arts Academy.

Parents say Sims has made a huge change at Washington, making it one of the safest high schools in the area. The school is already lacking a magnet coordinator and an assistant principal.

Some parents demanded to know why the west side always seems to be a low priority. The Corporation says they’ve already launched a search for the next Washington principal.
