A School City of Mishawaka employee is in jail on charges of domestic violence.
Court records show that Corey McNamee got into an argument with his brother last Thursday at their father’s home in Clearview Place. That’s west of South Bend.
According to WSBT, prosecutors say McNamee threatened to kill his brother and Dad before using a baseball bat to hit his brother in the mouth.
The School City of Mishawaka released a statement Monday saying McNamee is on administrative leave, pending the outcome of an investigation.
McNamee is currently being held at the St. Joseph County Jail.

Domestic violence charges should not even exist. There’s no reason for someone to get in less trouble for hitting a complete stranger than they would for hitting a family member. It’s asinine.

That said, smashing ANYONE in the mouth with a ball bat during a fit of rage should disqualify you from working around children. Kids are unbelievably annoying, and working around them requires a lot of self control.
