Mishawaka law enforcement was called to a crash on McKinley Avenue and Home Street on Friday, June 3 at approximately 8:06 p.m.

The investigation found Greg Briggs, 64, of Mishawaka westbound on McKinley Avenue on a bicycle.

An SUV driven by a 39-year-old Mishawaka woman was southbound on Home Street, crossing McKinley Avenue, when the front of the SUV’s left side collided with the bicycle near the south side of the intersection.

Briggs was found unconscious and was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
