The man who was killed at Laurel Woods Apartments, this past week, has been identified as Dionte Williams, 28, of South Bend.
The shooting happened around 6:40 p.m. on Thursday, June 9.
The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit was called to the 800 block of Laurelwood Court.
Upon arrival, officers located Williams, who ultimately died due to his injuries.
There was no immediate word of any suspects, arrests or information about what led to the gunfire.
The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is continuing to conduct interviews and process evidence.
This remains an active investigation.
