University Park Mall shooting suspect sentenced to 3 years

A man who opened fire at University Park Mall has been sentenced to at least three years in prison. The shooting happened in May of last year in the parking lot at the mall.
One man was hurt.
Luke Murphy pleaded guilty to battery and criminal recklessness.
An attempted murder charge was dismissed as part of the deal.
Murphy was sentenced to 3 years in prison on the battery charge and one year in prison with one year suspended for the criminal recklessness charge.
Charges of assisting a criminal that were filed against another man connected to the case were dismissed.
