Body of missing kayaker recovered in Three Rivers

The body of a person who fell out of a kayak on the St. Joseph River in southwest Michigan has been recovered.

Three Rivers Police and several other agencies were called around 5:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, to the dam in the area of River Drive and Wood Street.

The victim who fell out was seen bobbing in the water before going under and not resurfacing.

Michigan State Police recovered the body around 7:15 p.m.
