The US Supreme Court has ruled in favor of Indiana and 17 other states in a case to limit how the federal government can reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Thursday’s ruling states that the Environmental Protection Agency can’t adopt “transformational rules” unless directed to do so by Congress.

WVPE reports that climate advocates, as well as some past and present EPA employees, are saying the ruling undermines the agencies authority and hinders the country’s ability to address climate change issues.
