Carrying a gun in Indiana without a license or permit, Todd Rokita pushed document

You now have the right to carry a gun in Indiana without a license or permit. But, you may not carry a gun in schools, secure areas of airports, commercial or chartered aircrafts, casinos, the Indiana Government Center, the State Fairgrounds (unless the gun is for sale or trade at a fairgrounds event) and penal institutions. Your rights as a gun owner are now compiled in a document called the Indiana “Gun Owners Bill of Rights”.
Indiana state Atty. Gen. Todd Rokita is responsible for getting the document compiled and published, with help from attorneys in his office and “The Gun Guy”, gun rights attorney Guy Relford, who pointed out questions that people would likely need answered.
“Now that we have this monumental Constitutional Carry, it seemed like a good chance to, because I have questions myself, it seemed like a good chance to say okay, here’s what Constitutional Carry is. But, way beyond that…” said Rokita on WIBC’s “The Gun Guy” show.
You can find the document on the state’s website at https://secure.in.gov/attorneygeneral/files/Gun-Owners-Bill-of-Rights.pdf .
Rokita said the document can answer many common questions.
“Here’s what buildings you can take guns into and which ones you cant. Can you defend yourself in your own home? Can you stand your ground? Those kinds of things,” he sai8d.
He said it’s not a long read. The document is 16 pages. Rokita said they were careful to list sources, so that it’s not the law according to his interpretation.
“Not only does it satisfy a lot of questions, but it generates more, in a good sense,” he said. “So, if we start getting patterns of people asking the same types of follow-up questions, we’ll do another one. Unlike the Constitution, it’s a living document. It can be changed and updated.”
Rokita said his office plans on keeping it current.

All of the surrounding states honor my valid Indiana gun license except for the lunatic state of Illinois. When I go to Cook County, Illinois I want to feel safe and they won’t let me carry my firearm there. It’s okay for the criminals in Chicago to carry an illegal firearm, but not a law abiding citizen that wants to protect themselves.

One of the many reasons I refuse to go to Illinois (or any other blue craphole state).
