A child was found dead in a pond in Elkhart.

On Tuesday July 12, at 5:20 p.m., police were called to the 52000 block of Brookstream Circle, on reports of a missing 2-year-old boy.

When they arrived and searched the area, they found the child two hours later.

He was in a pond on the property.

He was taken to Elkhart General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
