A man is dead after a two-vehicle crash.

It happened on Tuesday, July 12 at 2:07 p.m., on County Road 26 and County Road 7.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s say that the driver of the first car was going west on County Road 26.

That’s when it crossed the center line and hit the car going east head on.

The driver of the first car, 70-year-old James Wakeland, died at the scene.

The driver of the second car was not injured.
