There is plenty of entertainment in the Michiana area this weekend! Whether you prefer to stay indoors or enjoy the weather outside, we have you covered with a variety of plans to choose from.

Wanting to go outside and enjoy the nice weather for lunch today? The Morris Performing Arts Center has you covered. Their Fridays by the Fountain concert is from 11:45 until 1:15 and is the perfect spot for lunch, music, and visiting with friends. This week’s featured artist is Rockdogs, so bring your own food or money to buy from vendors on site!

The Elkhart Public Library is back with another Summer Classic Movie this morning starting at 9:30. Popcorn and water is provided, so bring your family and friends to their downtown location for a showing of The Yellow Rose of Texas.

Are you ready to party like its 1985? The 1985 debuts at Friday Fest in Nappanee tonight featuring music by Prince, Madonna, Def Leppard and more. Visit the festival for a classic car show, art walk, bounce houses, food trucks, vendors, and your favorite 80s costumes and music! The event is free, and it all starts at 5!

Are you looking for a laugh this weekend? The Lerner Theatre is hosting Something Rotten, a comedy show quoted to be “the funniest musical comedy in at least 400 years.” Tickets are 25 dollars with discounts for seniors, students, and children. It all begins tonight at 7:30 with doors opening an hour before. Can’t make it tonight? Head to the Lerner Theatre’s website for showtimes tomorrow and Sunday as well!

Have you made it out to the LaPorte County Fair yet? It’s not too late to grab an elephant ear or fried food, or even to purchase a wrist band for rides! The fair will continue until Sunday and is the perfect daytime entertainment or evening dinner spot. Take the kids to see the 4H animals or go for a special date night treat. Tickets can be purchased at the front gates.

If you have a family of Disney fans, you’ll need to visit the Lerner Theatre’s website for tickets to their Camp Rock: The Musical performance. The all-youth crew will take the stage tomorrow afternoon at 3 for a show based off of the Disney original, “Camp Rock.” Tickets can be purchased online but grab them quick to make sure you don’t miss out!

The 23rd annual Firefighter Blues Fest is tomorrow evening with live music, food, and raffles. The first band will take the stage at 3 at Kamm Island Park in Mishawaka. The event goes until 10, and kids 12 and under are free to attend with a paying parent. All money from admission goes towards supporting the Hoosier Burn Camp and the Survive Alive House, so bring your family and come support a great cause.

It’s another Mishawaka Farmers Market on Sunday from 11 to 3. With many unique vendors and fun activities for the kids, be sure to head downtown to Ironworks Plaza for an afternoon of fun.
