Two weeks left to apply for Lamppost Lightning Propgram

There are just two weeks left for South Bend city residents to apply for the Lamppost Lighting Program.

The cost-share program offers easy self-install, solar-powered lampposts for residential front yards within city limits.

For 2022, the City has selects areas based on income, number of vacant lots, and need for lighting in the neighborhood. In the city’s targeted areas, homeowners pay just $50.

Outside the targeted areas, homeowners pay $250.

The last day to apply for the program is Monday, Aug. 15. Residents interested in applying to be a part of the program must do so by August 15 on the city’s website.
