Elkhart residents are invited to the dedication of the Mary Olson Town Green on Wednesday afternoon.

Mary Olson served the City of Elkhart on the Common Council for over 27 years.

She died last August.

Mayor Rod Roberson says the Town Green on East Jackson has become a popular gathering place in downtown Elkhart and a place Mary would have loved to visit and hear the concerns of her constituents.

The City will honor her memory by renaming the space the in her name.

A ribbon cutting and dedication is set for Wednesday afternoon at 5 o’clock.
