Cook Nuclear Plant back online

Donald Cook Nuclear Power Plant 1993

After a forced power outage, Cook Nuclear Plant is back online.

Indiana Michigan Power shut down the plant on August 28, at 1:48 p.m., because of a trip of a reactor coolant pump motor.

Officials say that the trip of the motor pump was caused by a faulty power cable.

The Cook Nuclear Plant returned to service, on Sunday, September 4 at 3:18 p.m.
