A South Bend man has been sentenced to 27 months in prison after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.

According to documents, on Feb. 8, in South Bend, law enforcement executed a search warrant on 48-year-old Valo Neely’s home and recovered four firearms that he possessed.

Neely’s criminal history revealed he had previously been convicted of a felony.

Several felonies include unarmed robbery, possession of controlled substances, and illegal possession of a firearm. With that, Neely was prohibited from possessing any firearm or ammunition.
