Man accused of shooting Richmond police officer taken to jail

The man accused of shooting a Richmond police officer was released from the hospital and taken to jail.

The man, Phillip Lee, faces charges for the shooting of Officer Seara Burton, that left her on life support.

It happened on August 10, when officers performed a traffic stop on Lee’s.

He allegedly drew a weapon and fired shots.

The officers fired back.

He was at the Dayton hospital for treatment and is now being held at the Montgomery County Jail in Ohio on a warrant out of Indiana.

Burton is not expected to survive and was taken off life support on August 31.
