South Bend bank robbery suspect pleads guilty, sentenced to 262 months in prison

Nahkomie Taylor, 31, was sentenced in United States District Court after pleading guilty to two counts of bank robbery and one count of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.

Taylor was sentenced to 262 months in prison, 2 years of supervised release and ordered to pay $12,155 in restitution.

According to court documents, Taylor was on parole for armed robbery for less than a month when he robbed a bank at gunpoint in South Bend on Feb. 18, 2020. Three days later, Taylor robbed a different bank at gunpoint in South Bend. That same day, he traveled to Oak Park, Illinois, and robbed a third bank at gunpoint.

This case was investigated by the FBI with help from South Bend Police, the Oak Park Police Department, and the Chicago Police Department.
