Governor Eric Holcomb has returned home after his economic development trip to Egypt.

Holcomb wrapped up a week in Egypt where he delivered two speeches boasting Indiana’s focus on expanding its energy innovation at the United Nations Climate Conference of the Parties, also known as the COP27 summit.

Holcomb, who is the first Indiana governor to participate in a U.N. COP event was the only U.S. Midwest governor in attendance.

On Friday, Holcomb delivered the opening address for a session on electric vehicles, sharing examples of innovations being driven in Indiana by companies like Cummins, General Motors, Stellantis, Samsung SDI, and Toyota.
