Indiana Department of health giving grants to expand Nurse-Family Partnership program

The Indiana Department of Health is trying to expand the Nurse-Family Partnership program.

They’ve chosen four community organizations in the state to award nearly $10 million to.

Goodwill Industries of Michiana is getting $2.9 million for expansion in the Northeast region.

IU Health Bloomington is expanding with a grant of $210,064.

Healthier Moms and Babies will be expanding their Northeast region with a $1.1 million grant.

With $5.1 million, Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana can expand in the Southeast, Southwest, and Western areas.

The organizations will be expanding with their share of the $10 million.

The Nurse-Family Partnership program helps to provide care for pregnant and first time mothers.
