Woman arrested for punching ex-boyfriend, was on probation for battery at the time

St. Joseph County Correctional Facility
A woman arrested for repeatedly punching her ex-boyfriend was on probation for battery at the time.
Melena Wilson, 19, allegedly spit on a police officer, as well, during her arrest.
It was back on Sunday when Mishawaka Police were called to the 1000 block of West Broadway to break up the domestic spat in which the victim said he decided to rekindle his relationship with Wilson, but after the two spent time drinking, they began to argue and she repeatedly punched him in the face.
Wilson says she hit him because he tried to choke her… but police say there was no visible injuries to her face and neck.
ABC 57 News reports Wilson has a prior battery conviction against the victim.
