The City of South Bend has released a series of billboards to honor local Black leaders in the community, for Black History Month.

The Washington High School girl’s basketball team will be honored with a special tribute.

The three digital billboards are located at South Bend Ave and Edison, Lincolnway East and Ironwood Drive, and South Michigan and Ireland.

They will be up from Feb. 20 until Feb. 26.
