Michigan City man sentenced to 151 months in prison for drug offense

Cory Thomas, 49, of Michigan City, has been sentenced in U.S. District Court after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
Thomas was sentenced to 151 months in prison followed by 3 years of supervised release.
According to documents in the case, in May 2022, Thomas was pulled over on his motorcycle while transporting over 125 grams of cocaine. This is Thomas’s fifth felony conviction related to the distribution of controlled substances.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration with the assistance of the LaPorte County Drug Task Force and the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office.
