South Bend Police Officers and Detectives are investigating a deadly shooting at the Wayne Street Parking Garage in Downtown South Bend.
Police were called to the garage around 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, to investigate a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is why people don’t want to be in the city limits of South Bend after dark. Many law abiding people today carry guns to protect themselves against street criminals. A parking garage is a very vulnerable place to be robbed or sexually assaulted.
