Shooting in South Bend injures man Saturday morning

A man was injured in a shooting early Saturday morning in South Bend.

Police responded to a call of shots fired around 2 a.m. in the area of Lincolnway West and Sancome Avenue. While they investigated the scene a man was dropped off at Memorial Hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

There were no reports of any other injuries, but several cars were hit by gunfire as dozens of rounds are believed to have been fired. No other information has been released.
