Sen. Braun says plan needs to be created to get more people in nursing field

(provided by his Senate office)
Indiana Senator Mike Braun says the whole country needs to come up with a plan to get more people in the nursing field, especially in Indiana.
Braun says the state already has 4300 job openings for nurses, with another 5000 nurses needed by 2031.
Braun says Indiana has slowly rolled back some nurse enrollment restrictions and some high schools allow students to get their CNAs.
They’re small steps towards solving a big problem, says Braun.
