City of South Bend offers places to stay during intense heat

If you need to stay cool during the intense heat, the City of South Bend has a few places where you can find relief.
They’ve opened cooling center at the Charles Black Community Center on West Washington Street, the Howard Park Event Center on Jefferson Blvd, the O’Brien Fitness Center on East Walter Street and the Pinhook Community Center on Riverside Drive. You can also try your local library branch, as well.
Days and times vary per location.
