Two Goshen teenagers have been sentenced for their involvement in a deadly shooting.

The shooting took place in April of 2022 at the 7-Eleven on Elkhart Road in Goshen and resulted in the death of Santino Garcia.

Leonardo Chavarria and Alejandro Briano were found guilty of reckless homicide earlier this year.

During the sentencing, the victim’s mother expressed her hope that the teens would be rehabilitated and distanced away from gang life.

Both Chavarria and Briano were sentenced to five years at the Indiana Department of Corrections.
