Amy Hagstrom Miller, president of Whole Woman’s Health Alliance announced the closure of the organization’s South Bend abortion facility late Monday evening.

In response to the closure, Antonio Marchi, Executive Director of Right to Life Michiana, Inc. issued the following statement:

“While we remain heartbroken at the thought of over 1,100 children who are not alive today because of abortions performed at WWHA of South Bend, we are hopeful that no more moms and babies will be victimized at this facility. Whole Woman’s Health Alliance has painted a false picture, suggesting that women will be deprived of care as its facility closes. Thriving pregnancy resource centers in Michiana show this is not the case. Without an active abortion facility, Right to Life will continue showing women they can get all the help they need to navigate the joys and challenges of life right here in our community, without turning to abortion.” Right to Life Michiana will continue to connect women with practical care, while working to educate on the value of life, expose the reality of abortion, and advocate for vulnerable moms and babies.”

I fear the abortion ban is a tactical mistake. Leftists beget leftists, and if all Democrats could be encouraged to eliminate their future leftist offspring this country could be fixed in a generation.
