Arrest made after end of SWAT situation in South Bend

A man was arrested after a SWAT situation on the northwest side of South Bend.

Police were called to Olive Street and Prast Boulevard around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, after a man who had a gun barricaded himself in a home with 2-year-old child.

After about an hour, the man was taken into custody. The child was released to relatives, unharmed.
