An investigation is underway after a hit-and-run crash involving a horse and buggy in Marshall County on Tuesday.

Witnesses say a tan SUV was traveling on State Road 331 when it collided with the rear end of a buggy.

When first responders arrived, they found two occupants of the buggy injured.

They were transported for medical treatment and evaluation, but there is no current word on the horse’s condition.

The SUV is believed to be a Buick Rainier from between 2006 and 2011.

It is likely that the SUV would have damage to the front passenger side.

Those with information can contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
