We’re expecting to hear more about new plans for the Concord Mall property.

The developer of the project will appear at the Elkhart Planning and Development Committee Of-The-Whole meeting, at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, in the council chambers.

The city’s Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval to rezone the mall property earlier this month. This, after the organization that works with other failing malls proposed changing the main building to a light manufacturing that could bring new jobs, as well as some multifamily housing, to the property. The meeting is open to the public and will also be made available to the public through WebEx and Facebook Live.

The Planning and Development Committee Of-The-Whole of the Common Council of the City of Elkhart will meet on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 229 S. Second Street, Elkhart.
