A Michigan man has been found guilty of killing a man during a break-in at a home in Berrien County.

Jurors declared Immanuel Williams Jr., 23, guilty of first-degree felony murder, home invasion, and felony firearms. The Herald-Palladium reports that Williams, along with 19-year-old Damarion Evans and 20-year-old Charles Little Jr. were seen breaking into the home of Leon Johnson in the 800 block of LaSalle Street on the night before Johnson’s body was discovered.

Their intention was to steal money or marijuana.

Evans and Little also faced first-degree murder charges but opted to plead guilty to second-degree murder, agreeing to serve 20 years in prison in exchange for their testimony against Williams, who’s now set for sentencing in early October.
