Baby flown to hospital in Chicago, burned by cooking oil

A baby was burned by cooking oil and airlifted to the hospital on Sunday, July 30.

It happened at a home near Walkerton.

The Marshall County Police Department says that they got a call that the 10-month-old was burned by the cooking oil and was being brought to Bremen Hospital.

Police met up with the vehicle and the baby was flown to the University of Chicago Hospital for Treatment.

Police say that the burn injury was accidental.
