Thee people injured in shooting on N. Brookfield Street in South Bend

The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting that wounded three people on the city’s northwest side.

On Saturday, Aug. 5, around 1:10 a.m., South Bend Police responded to the 1200 block of N. Brookfield Street to investigate reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers located three female victims, one adult and two juveniles, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

They were transported to the hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to leave an anonymous tip with Michiana Crime Stoppers by calling 574-288-STOP.
