‘Rock the Quarry Triathlon’ set for this Saturday

openverse.com

The annual “Rock the Quarry Triathlon” is this Saturday.

It’s at Fidler Pond, where people are welcome to kayak, paddle-board and fish throughout the year.

However, the triathlon is the only day people can swim in its waters.

This year is the ninth year of the triathlon, where racers will swim, bike and run.

It starts at 8 a.m, on Saturday with a 500-yard swim, followed by biking 15.8 miles on the Pumpkinvine Trail and finishing with a 5K around Fidler Pond.

A mile-long swim in the pond will also take place after the swim portion of the triathlon.
