Michigan students reminded that it’s OK2SAY

(Michigan.gov)

As the new school year begins, Michigan students are being reminded of the tipline that can make it easy for them to anonymously seek help with a threatening situation in school.

OK2SAY was launched in 2014 as a portal for students to use if they need help with a situation in their schools. The tipline has since received more than 45 thousand tips, according to WSJM.

The most common reports involve suicidal thoughts or self-harm, as well as bullying, drugs, and anxiety. OK2SAY is not designed for policing actrivity, but rather aimed at protecting every student in the state.

How To Submit a Tip:

If you receive a threat or know of a threat of violence against your community, please contact your local law enforcement or call 9-1-1. Non-emergency tips can be submitted the following ways:

Call: 8-555-OK2SAY, (855-565-2729 )
Text: 652729 (OK2SAY)
Email: OK2SAY@mi.gov
Visit: OK2SAY website
OK2SAY Mobile App: Available for download for Apple, Google and Android mobile devices. You can download it through the OK2SAY website.
