Legislation has been announced in Lansing that seeks to fight back against high prescription costs.
A number of Michigan government officials are seeking upper payment limits on big pharmaceutical companies, as thousands of Michiganders struggle with high prices on prescription drugs.
WSJM reports that the new legislation, announced on Tuesday would create a Prescription Drug Affordability Board, an independent body that would set those limits. Governor Whitmer called for the creation of the board in her What’s Next address, and supporters are hopeful the legislation might pass in the fall.

Or just stop using the power of the Federal government to enable the drug companies to enforce regional price controls… In wealthier markets, they charge more and the only reason they can do it is because the government regulates against “grey market” imports forcing Americans to pay the higher prices.
