A 60-year-old Edwardburg man died in a motorcycle-vehicle crash on U.S. 12.
The collision happened around 10:15 p.m. on Friday, Sep. 22 east of East Shore Drive.
The initial investigation indicates that James Tevlin was in the westbound lane traveling eastbound.
A vehicle driven by a 24-year-old Cassopolis man swerved into the eastbound lane to avoid the motorcycle at the same time that Tevlin turned back into the eastbound lane, and the motorcycle and vehicle collided head-on.
Tevlin was treated at the scene by Edwardsburg Ambulance Service.
MedFlight landed on scene to transport him to the hospital, but Tevlin died while en route.
Tevlin was not wearing a helmet, according to the Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police Department.
