One person was killed in a shooting in the 800 block of Ashland Avenue in South Bend.
Police were called to the area around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2. The victim, Rachel Havrick, 46, of South Bend, was taken to the hospital where she died.
There was no word about what led to the gunfire.
The investigation remains active and ongoing by the South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit.
