Penn Harris Madison School Board approves two-year teachers’ contract

The Penn Harris Madison School Board has unanimously approved a two-year teachers’ contract.
On Monday, Oct. 9, the Board of School Trustees approved the two-year contract that will take the schools through the 2024-2025 school year.
This year will see an approximate 5 percent base salary increase, with another 3 percent next year.
The salary increases are for new and existing teachers, and the deal also provides a 650 dollar retention bonus. The salary for new teachers at P-H-M is now $47,007, up from $44,940 last year.
The new salary range is retroactive to the start of the fiscal year that began on July 1st of this year.
