Elkhart woman pleads guilty to causing deadly crash

An Elkhart woman pleaded guilty in a crash that caused death almost a year ago.

The crash happened on U.S. 20 on November 18 last year when a blue Chevrolet crossed the center line and struck a red Nissan head-on.

The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene and was identified as Robert Spann.

The Chevrolet was driven by Kristal Jordan, who, according to the probable cause affidavit, had many liquor containers, marijuana and a marijuana grinder in her vehicle.

She was taken to the hospital where a blood sample showed a BAC of 0.259. According to the Goshen News, Jordan has pleaded guilty to causing the crash.
