The Notre Dame Fighting Irish returned to their winning ways on Saturday, defeating the USC Trojans 48 – 20.

The Irish were consistent in both halves of the game putting up 24 points in both halves. USC’s offense was able to find momentum in the final two quarters as they scored two touchdowns but Notre Dame’s defense holding the Trojans to just two field goals in the first half allowed them to establish a lead that USC could not overcome.

Notre Dame is now 6 – 2 on the season.

The team has the next week off to recover as they prepare to host the Pittsburgh Panthers on Oct. 28th.
