Man in critical condition after shooting on Western Avenue in South Bend

A man who was shot in South Bend was taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition.

Police were called around 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, to the 3100 block of West Western Avenue on the report of an unwanted person in a home.

As officers were en-route, they learned that a shooting had taken place.

The South Bend Violent Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.
