A Grand Rapids company has expanded into Michigan City and has moved into a large warehouse and headquarters along the I-94 corridor on U.S. 20.

Bay Logistics, in partnership with Martin Transportation Systems, recently purchased the land and building to provide a central location for both the trucking and warehousing sides of its businesses.

The building has undergone an extensive make-over, including a new roof, interior and exterior painting, new HVAC equipment, new LED lighting, fence repairs and replacement, truck dock installations, and parking lot upgrades.

The huge space is run by a team of 10 employees, but they say more associates will be needed as they ramp up their client base.

Martin Transporation Systems is also in need of truck drivers and mechanics.
