An investigation is underway after a body was found along a walking trail near the Darden Road bridge.

St. Joseph County Police were called around 7 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, after a neighbor, out walking, discovered what appeared to be person laying along the trail.

Upon arrival a few minutes later, County Police officers found the dead body.

The County Coroner has also been notified and an autopsy is being scheduled for within the next couple days.
