Meijer will be selling some of their Thanksgiving turkeys for roughly the same price they had them at in the 1930s. Meijer brand frozen turkeys will be only 59 cents per pound through November 25.
The retailer expects to sell a million turkeys this holiday season.
They also offer tofu turkey options, and expect to sell another 7,000 pounds of the soy-based product this year. Other turkeys, including fresh birds that will be available starting next week, will cost a little more.

Every store sells turkeys for 59 cents a pound every year. In years past, they were as low as 39 cents a pound.
