The University of Notre Dame is using a federal grant for a Tech Hub consortium.
The University will use a grant to lead the Midwest Wireless Innovation Strategy Development Consortium. Northwest Indiana Business reports that the school will partner with life sciences tech hub Heartland BioWorks, a group of Hoosier-based biomanufacturing stakeholders.
The tech hub is part of a program launched by the US Department of Commerce and its Economic Development Administration.
Senator Todd Young spearheaded the concept of regional Tech Hubs to help promote domestic research and the manufacturing of semiconductors.
