The LaPorte County Coroner has been arrested for driving under the influence following a crash near the outlet mall in Michigan City.

The collision happened around 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, at 4th and Wabash Streets. Police arrived to find damage to a vehicle, sign, and landscaping, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

Lynn Swanson, who police say was behind the wheel, confessed to drinking, exhibited signs of intoxication, and underwent field sobriety tests.

A breath test at the police department registed .16.
