This weekend marks the annual Shipshewana Ice Festival.
Ice carvers will be drilling and shaving blocks of ice all over town and you’re invited to visit Shipshewana to see them work and play.
Carving begins at 10 o’clock, Friday. You can watch beginning then… all the way through Saturday for the finished results.
The final ice competition will take place in the parking lot behind the Davis Mercantile on Saturday. As far as food goes, there’s a wing sauce competition on Friday evening and a chili cook-off on Saturday.
Stores will have extended hours on Friday night.
