A woman in Michigan City faces charges after allegedly poisoning her roommate’s dog.

23 year-old Brienna Comer is charged with animal cruelty for domestic violence purposes. She’s accused of giving the dog synthetic marijuana to eat, which resulted in a rapid decline in the animal’s health.

A motive for the alleged poisoning has not been determined and the case remains under investigation. Comer could face up to 30 months in prison if convicted in the alleged poisoning.
